Wolf Gold slot

Game overview

Wolf Gold is a 2017 Pragmatic Play slot set in the desert canyons of the American West, featuring a wolf, buffalo, eagle and other wildlife. It is played on 5 reels and 3 rows with 25 paylines and combines free spins with giant symbols and a Money Respin feature that can award three fixed jackpots. The volatility is medium, so wins tend to come more regularly than in high volatility games, with the jackpots providing the upside. It suits players who prefer a steadier pace with a classic hold and respin feature.

Rules and how wins are paid

Wins are paid for matching symbols on the 25 paylines, reading from left to right starting on the leftmost reel. Only the highest win per line is paid and wins on different lines are added together. Scatter wins are paid separately from line wins.

Symbols

• Low paying symbols: J, Q, K and A.
• High paying symbols: cougar, wild horse, eagle and buffalo.
• Wild: the wolf. It substitutes for all symbols except the scatter and the moon money symbol.
• Scatter: the canyon sunset, which lands on reels 1, 3 and 5.
• Money symbol: the moon, which carries a cash value and triggers the Money Respin.

Special features

Money Respin

Landing 6 or more moon symbols, in the base game or during free spins, starts the Money Respin. All other symbols disappear and the moons that triggered the feature stay in place. You get 3 respins in which only moons can land. Each new moon stays on the reels and resets the respin counter back to 3. The feature ends when you run out of respins or every position is filled.

At the end, all moon values are added up and paid. Moons can show cash values of up to 100x or one of the Mini or Major jackpots. Filling all 15 positions with moons awards the Mega jackpot, worth 1,000x your stake.

Free spins / bonus round

Land 3 scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 to trigger 5 free spins. During the free spins, reels 2, 3 and 4 spin together as one combined reel, showing a single giant 3x3 symbol. When that giant symbol matches the symbols on reel 1, it can create several line wins at once. Landing 3 more scatters during the feature awards 3 additional free spins, and there is no limit to retriggers. The Money Respin can also be triggered during free spins.

Bet settings, bonus buy and RTP

• Bet range: review sources list 0.25 to 125 per spin; your casino may differ.
• Bonus buy: none.
• RTP: 96.01%. Check the information screen in case a different version is running.
• Max win: game databases list a maximum win of 2,500x your stake, with the Mega jackpot itself worth 1,000x.

How to play, step by step

1. Start in demo mode if you can, to get a feel for how often the Money Respin appears.
2. Set your total bet; all 25 lines play on every spin.
3. Spin and look for line wins from the left, with the wolf wild filling gaps.
4. Count the moons on screen: six or more start the Money Respin.
5. During respins, watch the counter reset with each new moon and aim to fill the grid for the Mega jackpot.
6. Look for scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 to start the free spins with giant symbols.
7. Use autoplay with a loss limit if you prefer a hands-off session.

Tips before you play

• Medium volatility means smaller, more frequent wins, but the Mega jackpot needs every position filled and is rare.
• The free spins round is short at 5 spins, so its value depends heavily on the giant symbol matching reel 1.
• Check the RTP shown in the game rules.
• Set a time and money limit and stop when you reach it.
